Top 5 reasons to follow this blog

Social Media puts the pieces together

Ask a first grader what he wants to be when he grows up and he’s likely to name off five different things.  “An astronaut, a fireman, a doctor, president, etc.”

As adults, we laugh and tell them they can be anything they want to be, but secretly know that being ALL those things is not going to happen.

My question to you is, why not?

Not only was I that kid, but at age 44, I still am.  So far, I’ve been a Forensic Scientist, Real Estate Agent, Software Developer, Horse Trainer, and now Internet Marketer.   And no, it’s not because I’m a loser and can’t keep a job.  I am happy to say I was very successful at all of those positions and believe that anyone can have the same success.

So why all the variety?  Simple. I get bored easily.   It may sound like a cliche, but I really do believe that life is just too short to confine yourself to arbitrary rules set by yourself or those around you.   My latest interest, for several reasons, is internet marketing.  I will be sharing my journey into this world, including successes and failures.  So why should you care?

  1.  The internet is not going away.
  2. Social media (Facebook, Google+, Twitter), etc is the way of life for the next generation.
  3. Working the 9-5 job to “someday” retire is not how you want to spend the best years of your life.
  4. Other people have succeeded, why not you?
  5. Today is someday.  Start now.  Learn from my mistakes.

What will you gain from following this site?  Is social media marketing for you?  How to make money with social media.  What NOT to do, and why.  Network with other people just like you who believe in themselves and know that success is not something reserved for “other people”.

Tell me your story.   How have you used social media to further your success and help others?
